Analog Circuit Design of Street Light
TEAM MEMBERS
ABSTRACT
The analog design presents the schematic layout of automatic light system. Traditionally, lamp systems are integrated with manual switches. Looking at the present context, automatic lamp has become a demand not only in home automation but also in street lights, lamp posts and many more places. This simple automation can be done using microcontroller but makes it expensive. However, a simple analog design of the concept can make the design and application a lot cheaper and applicable. The proposed design presents schematic design, testing and calculation of the sensor signal, signal conditioning for obtaining suitable signal, integration of the signal with comparators for triggering the load and relays to control the high voltage load. A light dependent resistor (LDR) is the primary sensor used in the design, integrated with operational amplifier for signal conditioning purpose, Zener diodes and voltage divider for reference voltage, comparator for reference calculations, transistor for relay triggering and relay to control the load. The schematic testing of the circuit is provided in the report.
