IEEE Task Force Contributions
IEEE PES Task Force on Resilience Metrics
AMPS Committee — RRPA Subcommittee
Contributing member to the Task Force on Resilience Metrics within the Application of Monitoring, Protection and Control (AMPS) Committee and the Reliability, Risk, and Probability Applications (RRPA) Subcommittee. Responsibilities include maintaining technical documentation, coordinating cross-working-group contributions, and supporting the development of standardized resilience metric frameworks for bulk power systems.
Active — OngoingIEEE PES Large Electronic Load Modeling Task Force
Power System Dynamic Performance Committee
Active contributor focused on the load modeling challenges introduced by hyperscale AI data centers and large electronic loads at the grid interface. Contributions address spatially correlated demand, sub-hourly load volatility, power electronics-dominated load behavior, and the gap between conventional load models and next-generation compute infrastructure requirements.

Activities & Presentations
Active participation as author and presenter at IEEE and non-IEEE national and international conferences and symposia — including IEEE PESGM, NAPS, ICPS, KPEC, and the MSU Graduate Research Symposium — contributing papers and posters on power system resilience, grid-scale energy storage, and hyperscale data center load impacts.
Week-long intensive training organized by MSU E-Resilience Lab and RTDS Technologies, Ametek. Covered real-time hardware-in-the-loop simulation workflows for power system studies using RSCAD and RTDS hardware platforms.
Participated in NREPS, engaging with national-level discussions on renewable energy policy, grid integration challenges, and the energy transition landscape in Nepal and the broader South Asian region.
Presented "Relative Assessment of Carbon Emissions from Fossil Fuel-Based Vehicles, Battery Electric Vehicles, and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles" at the University Scholar Conference, Kathmandu University.
Achieved Runner-Up position in an inter-collegiate online technical presentation competition, recognizing research communication and engineering content quality.
Served as Design Lead at AAVISHKAR 19, the annual robotics and innovation showcase organized by the Kathmandu University Robotics Club. Directed design workflows, coordinated team deliverables, and oversaw exhibition of student-built robotic systems.
Exhibited a research project at the Seventh National Science Day 2019, organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Government of Nepal. The event showcased scientific innovation and engineering research at the national level.
