Power Systems
Grid stability, load flow, and power quality analysis
// Who I Am
PhD candidate in Electrical & Computer Engineering at Michigan State University with a research focus on the grid impacts of AI data centers and hyperscale compute infrastructure, power-system reliability, resilience, energy storage, and grid readiness for the AI era. My work develops probabilistic, optimization-based, and data-driven models to quantify resilience, assess adequacy risk, and support energy storage coordination under extreme events and emerging large-load conditions. I am an active contributor to the IEEE PES Task Force on Resilience Metrics and the IEEE PES Large Electronic Load Modeling Task Force, and an R&D intern at Sandia National Laboratories.
Active in power systems and grid modeling since 2019, across Nepal and the USA
Journals, conference papers, technical reports, and book chapters on grid resilience
From undergraduate capstone builds to graduate research prototypes and case studies
// Domains
Grid stability, load flow, and power quality analysis
Spatial load correlation and demand modeling in AI-driven grids
Coordination strategies for battery storage in resilient networks
Probabilistic risk assessment under extreme weather and faults
